I dont know if u can answer my question but maybe u can or put me on the right path. I am a veteran who has now been diagnosed with bi-polar, depression, agoraphobi, personality disorder and more. I have a GAF of 30. I just was approved for Social Security and have a claim in with the Dept of Vet Affairs. Which leads me to my question. I wasnt diagnossed for at least 8 years after service. I fought my disability until I no longer could take care of myself. So how do I prove my disability was Service Connected? I know it was because of how i was treated 6 months into my service and i broke my back. They kept me in for another 1.5 yrs with constant abuse(physical and emotional) and seclusion. |

Unless you were diagnosed and treated in the military, don't count on compensation. It's hard enough to get them to help you WITH military medical documentation. |
