To say there are differences between men and women is, by this point, atrope not worth repeating.  But when it comes to diagnosingdepression, often times the differences in symptoms can be a barrierthat prevents proper treatment. As Melissa Healy of the L.A. Times reports,many times, overcompensation and a machismo mask the more traditionallyrecognized symptoms of depression and make diagnosis and treatmentnearly impossible.
