Internet Can Help Isolated Depression Sufferers Find Relief

Researchers in Sweden worked with sufferers of mild to moderatedepression, living in remote northern areas.  Their conclusion:"[The] outcome with internet-based therapy resembles that in controlledstudies of clinician-delivered therapy."  They noted that thistreatment is not a perfect system, but it delivers therapeutic servicesto people who have no other means of receiving them. (The Scotsman)
With increased testing and development, the internet has the potentialto become a powerful tool in the field of mental health care.
