In yesterday's vlog clip Ivan Spielberg, LCSW, spoke about the borderline client and some of the misconceptions and problems that often follow from a diagnosis of borderline personality disorder. Today we present part two of our discussion with Mr. Spielberg. Here he addresses some of the strategies that he has found successful for treatment. While pharmacological options are often limited and ineffective for BPD clients, cognitive behavioral approaches have been proven very successful. Mr. Spielberg speaks directly about tools that he works with clients to develop through the therapeutic process.
