Don't Blame Stress

Here's a great
opinion column
from today's Miami Herald. In it Leonard Pitts addresses theawful beating of 64-year-old Robert Davis at the hands of New Orleanspolice officers.
While, like Pitts says, stress is never anexcuse for police brutality, this incident does bring to the forefrontthe issue of stress management and mental health care for police acrossthe country. If any good can come from this, hopefully it willcome in the form of more help for officers in New Orleans (and aroundthe country) who are being pushed to their limits everyday.
