The BBC reports: "Astudy on rats suggests infant stress has a negative impact on the waybrain cells communicate with each other."  This research serves toconfirm previously held beliefs that linked early childhood stress,even "moderate stress," to reduced memory and cognitive functionlater in life. Researchers have pointed out that while we still areunable to alter genetic reasons for degenerative cognitive ability, wecan begin to eliminate their environmental causes.
